Refund policy
At Aftertaste, all products are made on demand as part of our production and fulfillment process. Because of this, we do not offer broad voluntary returns, exchanges, or refunds.
Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
1. All sales are final except where required by law
Except where required by applicable law, all sales are final.
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:
- change of mind
- incorrect size selected by the customer
- preference changes
- accidental orders placed by the customer
- items that appear different only due to screen/display color variation
- delays caused by carriers after dispatch
- minor variations that do not amount to a defect
- items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery
2. Cancellations and order changes
Orders are processed quickly. Once production or fulfillment has started, orders cannot be cancelled, changed, or refunded.
If you need to request a cancellation or correction, contact us immediately after placing your order. We do not guarantee that any request can be processed in time.
3. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items only
We will review claims only where an item is:
- faulty
- damaged on arrival
- materially different from what was ordered
- the wrong item
To make a claim, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery and provide:
- your order number
- a description of the issue
- clear photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label where relevant
If the claim is approved, we may choose, as appropriate and where legally permitted, to:
- replace the item
- refund the item
- provide another appropriate remedy
We reserve the right to reject claims that are incomplete, submitted late, unsupported by evidence, or based on normal wear, misuse, or customer error.
4. No direct exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges, including for size changes or preference changes.
5. EU consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may have mandatory rights under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to faulty goods and, in some cases, withdrawal rights for distance sales.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under mandatory law.
Where the law allows us to refuse a return, exchange, or refund, this policy will apply in full.
Where the law requires us to accept a return or provide a remedy, we will comply only to the extent required.
6. Return shipping
Where a return is required by law or approved by us, you are responsible for direct return shipping costs unless applicable law requires otherwise or unless the item was faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
We do not reimburse original shipping costs except where required by law.
7. Refunds
Any approved refund will be sent to the original payment method used for the order.
Refunds are issued only for approved claims or where required by law.
8. Refused claims and abuse
We reserve the right to refuse returns, refunds, replacements, or other claims where we reasonably suspect:
- abuse of this policy
- fraudulent activity
- repeated bad-faith claims
- intentional damage
- evidence inconsistent with the reported issue
